  • Ozone Huricane

Hurricane is the result of 2 years of R&D. A series of computer designed and machined prototypes were tested. The results justify the effort. The Hurricane is smooth in flat water and responsive in the bumps. Component parts for the Hurricane were also developed using CAD. The molds for the iakos, footpedals, and rudders, as well as the hull and deck masters, were CNC milled. The Hurricane is constructed using the best materials and processes available. Carbon fiber is used extensively throughout the canoe. We use specially formulated oven cure epoxies, polyurethane paints, and prepregs to make the lightest canoe on the market. Specifications - 21′ Long - 15″ Wide - Common Lay-Up Weight : 18-22lbs. Characteristics The Hurricane was designed for speed and maneuverability. It is often said that the Hurricane is the fastest canoe, even thou this canoe is best for flat water and lighter paddlers many larger paddlers (200lbs+) have done very well on this canoe even in rough water conditions.

  • Ozone Storm

STORM The Storm is a hybrid design incorporating an ultra-narrow underwater hull shape, with extra volume above the waterline. Designed by Mike Giblin this canoe is made for advanced paddlers to go fast downwind. The goal was to build a canoe that would combine the transcendent performance of higher volume canoes in big downwind conditions without the hefty drag penalty that accompanied those designs. The canoe, while challenging to master, can completely overturn your ideas of what a canoe can do. It is a craft that reveals it’s strengths over time, often in astonishing ways. It is extremely responsive, the agility of this canoe is without match, allowing the rider to react instantly to dynamic seas. It performs well in flat water, loves small long period bumps, but lags upwind. It is suited for above average weight experienced paddlers. The Storm is the first outrigger canoe to be molded in one piece, simultaneously eliminating excess weight and creating a stronger canoe. The Storm is built with Ozone’s innovative monocoque 100% carbon construction. Lighter, faster, stronger.

  • Kai Wai ant Ares

Kai Wa’e new model is a smaller version of the Antares. We call her the “Ares”. The Ares is cut down in size, and slightly modified in the nose and mid section. Our popular seat and foot well position remains the same to achieve maximum comfort. Our goal with the Ares was to create a smaller design that could run well in all conditions. Upwind, downwind, and flat water. We made a couple of modifications along the way while going through the prototype phase to finished product. The result is the best yet. In the surf, the Ares is effortless with full control, which is hard to find in smaller designs. The upwind paddling is smooth and consistent, with easy acceleration in the flat sections. The flat water gets entertaining when surges of ground swell, or residual of back wash, catch the hull and take you for an unexpected glide. We are excited of our gains with the Ares and proudly stand behind our product. We won’t sell you ice in Alaska or sand in Hawaii. You be the judge. Take the Ares out for a spin and let what you feel be your deciding guide. Ares is built with Ozone’s innovative monocoque 100% carbon

  • Puakea Kahe Kai

From the creator of the Kaku, Kainalu, Pueo and Ehukai comes the latest OC1 design in our quiver. Challenging limitations, Kahe Kai introduces new possibilities in OC1 performance. We went a quarter inch wider in the middle of the hull and moved the volume forward, which is designed to get a little more flotation for larger paddlers. We added an inch to the height of the bow to avoid pearling. We made the seat wider for comfort, and dropped it for stability. The footwell was narrowed and dropped by a few inches for stability. We also took the rocker out of the tail for a more slippery feel in the flat. Finally we moved the rudder up 3 inches for improved control on the bump. A narrow footwell allows blade entry closer to the hull, offering efficiency with each stroke. The Kahe Kai also comes with a footwell cover which sheds water from the footwells. The Kahe Kai is built with Ozone’s innovative monocoque 100% carbon construction. We are offering the Kahe Kai with Pro Model upgrade option.
